Domestic Violence is not just physical violence. Domestic Violence is any behavior that is used to exert power and control over an intimate partner. Domestic violence is a pattern of controlling acts and not one separate incident. Domestic Violence is not caused by drugs, alcohol, anger, mental illness or any other excuse. Types of abuse include physical, emotional, and economical abuse, stalking and harassment.
